Ocado now has the largest range of ‘Free From’ foods in the UK

It seems like everyone suffers from food sensitivities of one form of another these days. Thankfully, whether it’s a mild food intolerance or allergy, diabetes or even the extreme of a serious life-threatening allergy, there are foods you can buy that are specially made to avoid such issues.

I’m vegetarian with IBS and a dairy sensitivity, and JD  suffered from a pretty severe dairy-intolerance from birth, although he seems to be improving significantly with age. All that meant that I was particularly pleased to hear from online supermarket Ocado last week, who let me know that they’ve expanded their ‘Free From’ range to include more products that ever.

On the Ocado website, you can shop by gluten-free, lactose-free, dairy-free, wheat-free, sugar-free/low sugar, egg-free, nut-free or soya-free, making it super simple to buy food safely.

The extensive range includes plenty of products suitable for a family, such as:

• gluten-free bread mixes, pastas, crackers and crisps
• nut-free pasta sauces and even ‘peanut’ butter (made from sunflower seeds)
• dairy-free chocolate buttons and sweet bars
• vegan cookie mixes and curry pastes
• gelatine-free sweets
