Is it school time already?! – JD, 5
JD’s been testing out more school uniform and school supply offerings this week, this time from Morrisons in the form of their new Nutmeg range.
The pricing is pretty simple: all socks are £1 a pack (2 or 3 in a pack), all shirts are £2 (2 in a pack) and all trousers, skirts and jumpers are £3.
I’ve always found Morrisons to be pretty good for clothing, and their school range broadly lives up to expectations. The trousers are thick, fit well and feel durable. I’d definitely buy them for JD, especially as they’re just £3 a pair.
The white polo shirts (£2 for 2) are fine for summer, but so thin that they’re almost see-through, so not quite up to the standard of some other supermarket brands and I do wonder about the durability, although JD tends to stain his shirts permanently with food, paint or mud at a rate of knots, so for us, they don’t need to last long!
The Graffiti Design Messenger Bag pictured is a real bargain at just £12. JD loves the ‘grown up’ design and it’s made from a wipe clean material so shouldn’t get too grubby too quickly. The scientific calculator is a real bargain too at just £3 – can’t go wrong there.
Overall, this is a very low cost range of reasonable quality, with a few stand out items, so it’s well worth a visit to your local Morrisons to see if you can grab some bargains before they sell out.
