Fakeaways

Shall we order in? – me

Hello and welcome to another #recipeoftheweek.

At the bottom of this post is a brand new #recipeoftheweek linky ready for your to add any recipe posts you would like to share. They don’t have to follow a particular theme – absolutely all recipes are welcome :)

But first, I want to share with you just three of the fifty brilliant recipes linked up to #recipeoftheweek last week.

We’ve been trying to be more frugal lately, which means resisting the temptation to order weekend takeaways. These three recipes caught my eye because they offer all the comfort and flavour of a takeaway, without the rivers of oil or the damage to your wallet.

First up, we have yeast and egg free naan bread from Kachuss Delights. I think these naan look absolutely perfect and the recipe is currently pinned to my fridge ready for the next time we make curry.

Speaking of curry, I’m swooning at this Goan Curry from Pass the Gin. It looks beautiful and is a great way to eat fish – certainly more exciting than with chips and mushy peas!

And finally, we have chicken kebab from All You Need is Love and Cake. This looks and sounds far healthier than the nondescript brown stuff that adorns a takeaway kebab – I bet it’s a million times tastier too.

Fancy joining in with this week’s #recipeoftheweek? Here’s what to do…

Do you have a recipe to share? Come and link up with #RecipeoftheWeek!

If you blog, here’s the place to show off YOUR cooking skills! Pick a recipe YOU created from any time at all and add it to the directory below for others to find.

Meaty, vegan, fatty, low-calorie, savoury, sweet – all recipes are welcome, old or new, just please don’t add posts you’ve already added in a previous week. That’s the only rule, really!

You share the goods, then I generally go round reading, commenting, Stumbling, Pinning and drooling over everyone’s entries.

I then pick my favourite three to feature the following week!

It’s that simple – just link up below and let’s share the love.

  1. Link up your post using the Linky tool below
  2. Add the “Recipe of the Week” badge to your post so that readers can find other great recipes
  3. Take a little time to read and comment on each other’s recipes
  4. Come back next Saturday and we’ll do it all over again

Enjoy!

Family loves to eat at our local and very delish Indian restaurant so I’ve been experimenting at home. Saag gobi is our current fav side- a replacement for saag aloo what’s too carb-y for me, I’ve been making curry’s at home because I’m trying to lose 10lbs. Fits in perfect with your fakeaway!
