Delicious and wholesome food-to-go, hand prepared in small batches, using 100% natural ingredients – Easy Bean
Occasionally I get sent yummy food to review and I chomp it down, weeping later when I realise I’ve consumed a few hundred more Weight Watchers points than my allocation would allow.
Easy Bean food pots do not fall into this category. Yes they’re yummy – actually the Moroccan Tagine pot is ridiculously yummy – but unhealthy they are not. In fact the tagine contains just 211 kcal and 8g of fat per 320g pot and because it contains chickpeas, aubergine and butternut squash, it actually counts as a whopping THREE of your five a day.
The New Mexican Chilli is also tasty, also provides three of your five a day and contains just 214 kcal and 5.8g of fat per 320g pot.
And they’re quick – just three minutes in the microwave. Of course, that makes them a convenience food, so there’s a price premium as compared with home cooking. The vegetarian Easy Bean meals retail from £2.95 and those with meat retail from £3.35.
They look small, but they’re actually quite filling and you just feel angelic afterwards knowing you’ve had a nice healthy meal instead of a soggy supermarket sandwich or a coffee house panani with 40g of fat.
Disclosure: I was sent two Easy Bean food pots for review. No payment was received. All reviews are 100% honest.
