This is fun! – Miss J, 2
After an amazing time at CBeebies Live! The Big Band at Wembley Arena, we took the short walk over to London Designer Outlet – the Capital’s first designer outlet centre at Wembley Park, packed with shops and restaurants.
We made our way over to Handmade Burger Company for dinner, where the staff were polite and welcoming.
The kids both had the Junior Fish Finger Classic – Fish fingers, mayo & lettuce for £3.95. A very simple sandwich – definitely a safe bet for fussy kids.
We got them as part of £5.65 meal deal each which included a drink and junior side. They opted for Fresh Cut Chips – really yummy they were too – quite a lot like the type they sell in Fish ‘n’ Chip shops, but less greasy.
Mark had the Barbeque, Cheese & Bacon Chicken Burger – Fresh chargrilled chicken breast, mature cheddar, smoked bacon, smokey barbecue relish, mayo & salad for £8.05. Delicious, apparently, with particular approval going to the sultana flecked relish.
Mark also had a side of Cajun Seasoned Chips for £3.25. Pleasantly hot and full of flavour.
I had the Spinach & Lentil Burger with handmade burger relish, mayo & salad for £7.15. It had a slightly stodgy texture with a subtle flavour but that was offset by the salad and zingy, sultana-laced sauce so that overall it was a really tasty, very filling burger. I coupled it with a side of fresh, crunch coleslaw (£2.95).
With four drinks, four burgers, four sides, and three dips, the total cost came to £41.35, which I think it very reasonable, especially so close to Wembley Arena where you might expect extortionate prices. We’d definitely go again.
Disclosure: we given vouchers for the meal in order to review.
