Something tells me you’re about to read about something you’ve never tried before. Actually, I don’t think anyone has tried this before, because it’s really rather silly in the best possible way.
This Summer, Spontex – makers of innovative household cleaning products, from cloths to scourers to mops – are on the road, setting up a wonderfully bizarre challenge across five major UK cities.
You’ve heard of curling, right? The sport where a Curling Stone is sent whizzing along the ice, and then the athletes vigorously sweep the ice in front of it to help it get to where it need to go. Sounds familiar?
Well today, I’m asking you to picture two lanes of kitchen floor, two mops, two contestants and a race to clean the length of the floor before your rival. That, my friends, is Urban Curling. Here’s an artist’s impression of what it’ll look like.
Now, if you fancy giving it a try for yourself, you may be interested to know that there are prizes to be won, so get these dates in your diary, practice your game face, and head down to your nearest city, where the Spontex team are ready to challenge you.
