The summer has faded, warm days are getting fewer and farther between, but Autumn is here and I love Autumn.
Autumn means crunching through leaves, cool golden sunshine, conker matches, playing in the park after school until it gets dark and making nature creations from pinecones, twigs and pebbles.
Autumn almost means it’s out with thin summer jackets and in with warm and cosy coats.
The one you see above is a Faux Fur Trim Duffle Coat from House of Fraser’s Cloud Nine collection. It’s made from a wool and cashmere mix with large pockets, satin lining, toggle fastenings, funnel neck, and a large hood with faux fur trim.
It’s warm, soft and comfortable. I wasn’t sure if it would suit me when I chose it as the cut is quite straight, but I actually love it and will be wearing it all Autumn.
Meanwhile, the boy is set for Autumn adventures with this Polo Ralph Lauren Flag Utility Jacket.
This 100% cotton khaki jacket has a worn, vintage-look US flag on the sleeve, a wide collar, hood, lots of pockets and a soft, fleecy tartan lining. It’s also machine washable at 30C, which is super handy.
It’s a bit big for him, admittedly (he’s almost 7 so we chose 7-8 as he’s so tall) but that’s fine as it means it’ll last him longer, and I think the oversized look actually works really well in this case.
So, they’re our coats sorted for this season. Will you be getting a new coat? What style takes your fancy?
House of Fraser provided the coats for this feature.
