It’s easy to love the clean lines and classic 60s-inspired design of this portable digital radio.
It’s called the Oxford and it’s the latest DAB+ and FM radio from Goodmans.
The metallic grille and leather carry handle give it a faithful vintage feel, and you can choose from moss green or, as shown above, porcelain white – a look that works perfectly into our monochrome bedroom. Sky blue and slate versions will launch later this year.
Of course, it’s not all about looks. The Oxford works straight out of the box and the classic silver-look rotary and push button controls allow effortless tuning and volume control, plus one-touch access to the station presets. There’s a clear and easy to read LCD display and the sound carries well for a radio of its size.
The battery life on the Oxford is good once you’ve popped in six C batteries, but you can also run this radio off the mains. Sadly there’s no way to connect via bluetooth, but there is a headphone socket as well as a ‘line in’ port, if you want to connect with an mp3 player.
The Oxford radio is available to purchase from www.goodmans.co.uk for £59.99.
Goodmans supplied the radios for review and giveaway.
