My Grubbies! – Miss J, 2
Grubbies is a relatively new British company, established in 2012 with a mission to take the qualities that have historically made dungarees the ultimate in childrenswear – functional, comfortable and durable – and combine them with cool, distinctive and nostalgic styling. I think they’ve succeeded.
Miss J’s Grubbies Originals fit beautifully, wash well and look super cute. They’re classically-styled, indigo-dyed denim dungarees, with a unisex cut and pockets at the back, sides and on the chest. They’re perfect for tumbling about in and with adjustable shoulder straps, they’ll last a good while, I think.
The contrast stitching is a nice touch and kids can choose from a range of different colours for the piping trim and coordinating back pocket embroidery – Miss J’s are in Raspberry.
Originals come in sizes 0-6m right up to 4yrs with an RRP of £40. With the winter months upon us, you can team them with a long sleeve thermal and a cool cardy for a cute winter look. If they made them in adult sizes, I’d order some for myself.
The Grubbies range also includes:
- Outlaws – Loose-fit denim dungarees. £42 RRP
- Gummies – Lined chambray rompers with a cotton jersey lining. £28 RRP
- Prairie – Pocketed denim pinafores. £32 RRP
- Riders – Denim dungaree shorts. £38 RRP
- Scoot – Chunky zipped playsuits. £32 RRP
