Do I look cool? – JD, 5
JD’s Denim Shirt (7 years, £13) looked great in the catalogue so we went for it and it really suits him. It’s made from good quality material, and finished well with two tone buttons and stitched pocket and cuffs. It fits with space to grow (he’s a very tall 5 year old), washes well and comes out of the tumble dryer crease-free.
This Orange Stripe Crew Neck (7 years, £15) is 100% cotton, breathable and adds a splash of colour to the rest of his outfit.
With the top button of his shirt done up, and the jumper on top, it’s a great smart-casual outfit.
JD rocks the ultra-fashionable Elastic Waist And Cuff Jeans Light (7 years, £14), which are not a style I would normally choose for him, but I’m now enlightened to the range of choice out there. Being slim and tall it’s hard to find jeans that fit JD and he has a little growing to do before these fit quite right, but nothing a belt can’t fix for now.
Finishing the whole outfit off, I was delighted to see that canvas hi-top trainers are still in fashion. These Skate Chukka trainers (size 13, £20) with blue suede upper and white leather / rubber detail fit JD perfectly and suit him down to the ground.
Aren’t they cool? They also wiped clean well after he’d dragged them through dusty gravel, so I’m happy.
There’s such a great range of kids’ clothing on the NEXT website, I’d recommend checking it out today. I bet there’s something to suit your little ones.
