Yogurt is a delicious, versatile and healthy snack, packed with calcium and tasty even in its plainest form.
Enjoy it plain, pick a fruity variety, add a little fresh fruit or crunchy granola, whip it into pancake batter or fold it into banana bread – the possibilities are endless to take something already super tasty, and turn it into something even more special that perfectly compliments your own cravings.
So what could be better than yogurt? How about your very own custom yogurt, where you pick the flavours and the experts at Onken make the magic happen? Sounds fun, right?
And that’s exactly what’s happening this September as Onken invites everyone in the UK and Ireland pick their very own flavour combinations to be in with a chance of winning a handmade ‘YouGurt’ flavour – complete with their name on the pack! If you win all you’ll have to do is sit back, relax and wait for the delivery driver!
After doing so, you’ll also be treated to a video of your flavour combination being ‘created’. The magicians at Onken have even made it so the video includes your Facebook profile picture and name on the pot and it’s genuinely good fun to watch! After that, you’ll instantly be told whether you’ve won.
With 50 winners everyday, Onken is working hard to supply everyone with their customised treats – don’t miss out!
As part of the launch of this fab giveaway, Onken invited me to try out my own creation.
There’s a broad range of familiar and no so familiar options to choose from, including rhubarb, pumpkin, mint, chilli, cherry, strawberry, agave, pineapple, coconut, mango, peach and carrot, which means over 200 possible combinations!
Suffice to say it took me a few minutes to make a decision, but in the end I decided to go with mango, pineapple and carrot, aiming for a pleasing mix of flavours and textures, and add a lovely natural sweetness to the yogurt.
After creating my own dream flavour I only had to wait a few days before a chilled box arrived. Inside was my very own YouGurt, which I opened immediately.
And the end result? Did I make a good selection? I think I nailed it!
I’m happy to report the sweetness shone through and the crunch of the carrot was lovely. I loved how super bright the chunks of fruit looked against the creamy whiteness yogurt, too, and they tasted great too. If this flavour was for sale on the shelves, I would definitely buy it.
Other flavour combos I’d love to try are mint, agave and coconut or perhaps cherry, rhubarb and pumpkin. Have you entered the competition yet? What flavours would you choose? Let me know!
This is a commissioned post for Onken.
