Nice and cosy – Miss J, 2
This week, JD and Miss J have been trying out some pieces from Muddy Puddles, a clothing label which specialises in children’s outdoor wear.
Above are some of the items we tried out, along with a pick of some of our favourites from the website. The whole range is clearly well made and does what you’d hope – keeping your little ones protected from the elements.
Miss J loves her Muddy Puddles pink ski jacket, which is waterproof and microfleece-lined with elasticated cuffs to keep the warmth in and the cold out. Too often with kids clothing we find that when the hood is up, the zip does up too close to the chin, causing discomfort but not so with this range – the hood is well sized, fitting Miss J comfortably while still keeping her protected.
The jacket is part of a Bib n’ Brace set (£59) which also includes dungarees in the same material but in a paler pink with funky pink rabbit pattern and elasticated ankles – perfect for keeping the snow out and can be worn over tights or legging if you’re on your way somewhere warmer.
As you can see, the styles have been carefully thought out so that everything works really well together. Any little one would look super cool in the Muddy Puddles range and it helps that many of the items – including the soft fleece scarf (£10), hat (£10) and mittens (£10) pictured with star motif – are fully reversible, so you get two styles in one.
Click on the image above to find out more about the individual items. The accessories in particular would make great Christmas gifts, and the larger items would make very sensible investments for the UK winters that seem to get colder every year.
