I want to do the next one! – Miss J, 2
As part of our ongoing fun as Asobi Ambassadors, this month we’ve had a great time playing with this PlushCraft Owl Pal Pillow by Orb Factory.
In the kit, you get an owl cushion with numbered circles across its front, a set of coloured fabric squares, a badge for the eyes, velcro, a guide and a stylus.
Using the guide to identify which colour belongs with which number, you then line up a little piece of fabric and push it through the slit with the stylus so that the fabric pokes through in a ruffle.
It’s a great activity for building fine motor skills, patience, colour and number recognition and although it’s a little fiddly, that didn’t stop my 2 and 6 year old having a brilliant time building up the pattern together and applying the velcro eyes.
You could, in theory, pull the fabric out and start again for hours more fun, but we found some of the fabric squares developed tiny holes when being pushed through so you probably wouldn’t want to try that more than once or twice at most.
You can buy the PlushCraft Owl Pal Pillow Kit and a host of other brilliant kid’s activities from www.kindtoys.co.uk (Asobi’s consumer facing site). You can also grab a 20% discount by using the code ‘ORB’ at checkout.
