Now, you might wonder, “why would I need a soup maker when all I need is a basic set of pots and pans, a hand blender and a ladle”? Well actually, there are quite a few reason I’m now using our soup maker on a regular basis.
With the Morphy Richards Soup Maker, all you need do is chuck veg and water in, replace the lid and it will whiz you up perfect, ready to serve soup in just 21 minutes. Because the container is almost sealed, there’s virtually no loss of liquid, and because it periodically blends throughout the cooking process, it takes less time for it to be completely cooked. There’s no need to stir, the LED display tells you how much time is left and when it’s ready, it beeps and you can serve straight from the maker into bowls.
If your like a bit of texture to your soups, there’s a ‘chunky’ setting, plus a ‘blend’ function so that you can give it a little blitz at the end, if preferred.
There’s minimal mess and loads less washing up, you just rinse off the blade and jug once you’re done. If anything is stuck to the side, you just soak for 20 minutes and then wipe round with a soft cloth. It really is that easy. If you like, you can make up soups and freeze them, meaning it’s a great way to ensure you use up all that veg at the bottom of the fridge that might otherwise go to waste.
If you want to increase your fruit intake too, you can also use the Soup Maker’s ‘juice’ setting to create healthy nutritious smoothies and fruit drinks.
The 1.6L stainless steel Soup Maker is ideal for anyone who wants to make healthy soups, fast and retails from www.morphyrichards.co.uk for £99.99, but you can enter to win it today, just follow the instructions in the widget at the top of the page. Good luck!
