Have you ever laid a finally sleeping baby down in their moses basket and crept on tiptoe to the kitchen in the hope of at least a sip of hot tea before they wake? And have you ever woken them with the clatter of dishes or the bubble of the kettle boiling? I remember those days well.
This week, Russell Hobbs sent me their new Buckingham Kettle (RRP £39.99) to try out, which boasts a 75% quieter boil. You really can tell the difference from our other kettle – it’s definitely a lot quieter. It can also boil a single cup in an impressive 45 seconds thanks to the ‘rapid boil’ function, so with those two features combined, you have a pretty decent chance of getting a cuppa without disturbing bubs.
It looks good too with its brushed stainless steel finish and the neat light ring which illuminates on boiling. I wish this kettle had been around when I had newborns!
To celebrate the launch of the new kettle, I have a pretty awesome prize package to offer you, which includes:
- 1 Russell Hobbs Buckingham Kettle
- A lovely tea cup set
- 3 gorgeous tins of Adagio tea bags
- A tasty box of butter biscuits
- A cute ‘Time for Tea Mummy’ baby grow
