Gluten-free chocolate and strawberry parcels

A gluten-free chocolate and strawberry treat with crispy puff pastry.

Ingredients

  • 2 x Jus-Rol Gluten Free Puff Pastry Sheet
  • 300 g 10.5 oz gluten-free milk chocolate (2 x 150g bars)
  • 4 x large strawberries
  • 1 x egg yolk mixed with 1 tbsp water to glaze
  • 1 tbsp dark brown sugar

Instructions

  • Take the two milk chocolate bars and cut in half width ways. Then take each section and cut out a triangle going from the bottom corners to the centre of the top as shown.
  • Get your Jus-Rol Gluten Free Puff Pastry Sheets ready.
  • Roll one sheet out on a board.
  • Lay the four chocolate triangles on top of the sheet, and combine two of the smaller triangles together to make another four. You should end up with 8 triangles altogether.
  • Place half a strawberry on top of each chocolate triangle.
  • Cover the whole sheet with the second sheet of Jus-Rol Gluten Free Puff Pastry and lightly press the two sheets together, marking out the pastry into eighths.
  • Cut out eight slices with a sharp knife.
  • Take each slice and seal with a fork around the whole edge, trimming any ragged edges with a knife.
  • Lightly wash using the egg yolk and water.
  • Sprinkle the tops with dark brown sugar.
  • Place in the oven and bake for around 12 minutes at 220C/430F (200C/390F fan), or until golden brown.
  • Serve warm for an amazing, gooey treat.
