Banana, chocolate and caramelised walnut dessert pizza
This dessert pizza one uses banana, marshmallow, chocolate sauce and caramelised walnuts and it’s DELICIOUS!

For the dough
- 1 1/2 tsp sunflower oil
- 2 1/2 tsp milk
- 80 ml water
- 165 g ’00’ grade flour
- 1/2 tsp fast action yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
For the caramelised walnuts
- 50 g walnuts
- 25 g caster sugar
- 15 g slightly salted butter
For the chocolate sauce
- 150 ml double cream
- 30 g caster sugar
- 30 g dark chocolate
- 1 banana
- 30 g mini marshmallows
To make the pizza dough
In a microwave-safe mug, whisk the oil, water and milk together and heat briefly in the microwave in 10-second blasts until it is warm but NOT hot.
Mix the dry ingredients together in a large bowl and make a well.
Pour the contents of the mug into the well and mix together to make a dough.
Knead for 10 minutes until smooth, then place in the bowl, cover and leave to prove for 2 hours or until doubled in size.
To make the caramelised walnuts
To make the walnuts, place in nonstick pan with the sugar over a medium heat.
Stir until the sugar dissolves and darkens slightly, tip onto a greaseproof tray to set.
To make the chocolate sauce
Mix the cream in a small bowl with the sugar
Heat in the microwave in 10 seconds blasts until steaming but not boiling.
Add the chocolate and stir until you have a glossy sauce.
To bring the pizza together
Retrieve the dough, knead it back to a smooth ball, then roll out dough to around 12 inches in diameter – it will roll quite thin and still keep its shape – then transfer to a baking sheet.
Thinly slice the banana and distribute evenly on the pizza.
Bake for around 10 minutes, throw on the caramelised nuts and marshmallows and cook for a further 2 minutes.
Serve to the table and then drizzle with the chocolate sauce, leaving the rest in a pot for diners to dip in if they choose.
