Bread and Butter Pudding with Jam Recipe
This simple yet delicious bread and butter pudding with jam is made rich and gooey with just a handful of simple ingredients to produce a sweet, creamy, custardy dessert the whole family will love.

icing sugar (powdered sugar)

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200C (180C fan / 390F). Make sure the oven shelf is in the middle of the oven.
Cut 10-12 bread slices into suitable size pieces so that they will fit in the tray in two layers.
Grease the oven dish with a small amount of butter.
Put the milk, cream, eggs and sugar in a bowl. Whisk together.
Dip half of the bread slices into the milk-egg mixture and put them into the oven dish.
Spread the jam on top of the bread.
Dip the remaining bread slices into the milk-egg mixture and put them on top of the jam.
Pour the rest of the milk-egg mixture into the oven dish.
Cook the pudding for 25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Allow to cool a little.
Dust with icing sugar.
