These date energy balls are super easy to make with just three ingredients: dates, granola and dark chocolate.

round Date energy balls drizzled with chocolate on a wooden chopping board.

A lot of energy ball recipes used rolled oats, which works fine, but using granola means you get a lovely toasted flavour, so it's my go to when making these lovely little energy bites.

I like to use quite a plain granola, just toasted with a little honey, for example, to let the flavour of the oats and dates really shine through.

To make these energy balls, you'll simply pop the dates, granola and a dash of water in your food processor and whizz to a paste before rolling into balls and drizzling with dark chocolate.

It really is super simple and they make wonderful little treats to keep in the fridge for a bitesize energy boost whenever you need one.
