    Halloween apothecary labels

These free, printable Halloween apothecary labels are perfect to add a spooky, fun edge to your Halloween decorations or snack table.

Three jars of different sizes, bearing Halloween apothecary labels. The jars contain mini marshmallows (Spider silk), Monkey Nuts (Seahorse hooves) and baby pickled onions (Snail ears).

They're inspired by apothecaries of old, who produced medicines, potions, treatments and tinctures from natural, sometimes mythical ingredients.

The labels have an old fashioned feel and will take your snacks into the magical realm, with names including: snail ears, pixie mischief, spider silk, seahorse hooves, griffin bogies and warthog warts!

Just download these Halloween apothecary labels using the link below. They come as a single sheet, large colour image, ready to print out on a sheet of A4 or letter-size paper.

Next you'll need either scissors or a craft knife and cutting mat.

Once cut out, the six labels can be attached to any containers you like, using a glue stick, glue gun or sticky back plastic.

The smaller ones are good for really small jars right up to family size pasta jars, while the larger ones are great for taller containers, such as tall hot chocolate tubs and preserving jars.

You can have a lot of fun matching the labels to snacks. We think gummy sweets make perfect pixie mischief and monkey nuts work brilliantly as seahorse hooves.

Meanwhile, raisins make hilarious warthog warts, green olives make perfect griffin bogies, and mini marshmallows double convincingly as balls of spider silk.
