Lazy flatbread pizzas - 4 ingredients, ready in 15 minutes

Flatbread pizzas topped with cheese and basil

I was recently sent some wholemeal flatbread squares to play with, and in a moment of sheet laziness, I turned them into a pizza tea for Mark and I.

These flatbread pizzas are as simple as they look to make, could be easily tweaked with different toppings, take minutes to cook and, most importantly, taste flipping lovely with a super thin base that's crispy at the edges.

Here's what to do to make these flatbread pizzas - serves two.

Ingredients

  • 4 thin flatbreads
  • 8 tbsp pasta sauce
  • 150 g (5.3 oz) mature cheddar cheese vegetarian if required
  • 10 g (0.4 oz) fresh basil

Equipment

  • Weighing scales
  • Grater
  • Spoon
  • Non-stick baking sheet
  • Kitchen knife

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C (180C fan-assisted, 400F).
  2. Spread the flatbreads with 2 tbsp of the sauce each, going almost to the edges.
  3. Sprinkle with the grated cheese.
  4. Place on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for around 8 minutes, or until the cheese starts to bubble.
  6. Sprinkle with the torn basil, cut in half diagonally and serve!

Super simple, a bit lazy, but yummy all the same. What do you think?

Here's the recipe for these quick and easy flatbread pizzas again in an easy to print format.

Try any other toppings you fancy. How about fresh sliced peppers, olives and pepperoni? Be sure to cut any toppings thinly so that they cook quickly in the oven.

A recipe perfect to my taste and my family. I just made one small change, I add some hemp seeds, we learned to put it almost in every dish.
