These air fryer pizza bagels are the perfect lazy lunchtime treat. Just add sauce, cheese and your favourite toppings, throw in the air fryer, and they’re ready to eat in minutes.

Just like their much lauded, freezer-staple cousins, these home-made pizza bagels have a crisp crust, chewy inner, and oozy, gooey toppings.
Pepperoni is absolutely optional, but obviously does add bags of extra flavour. Sliced sweet peppers or olives would be awesome too.
It only takes a few minutes to prepare these pizza bagels.
You'll simply slice the bagels open, spread with whatever tomato sauce you have available. Tinned tomatoes, passata or leftover pasta sauce all work, but I’d advise against ketchup as it’s simple too sweet and vinegary.
You then sprinkle them with cheese.
I like to use a combination of mature (sharp) cheddar and mozzarella as lends the perfect balance of flavour and stretchy gooiness but again, you can use whatever you have to hand.
Then just add your favourite toppings and whack your bagels in the preheated air fryer for a few minutes until bubbling and delicious.
The only downside is that biting into them immediately will definitely take the skin off the roof of your mouth so a modicum of patience is required before digging in.
