5 exciting ways to enjoy granola

Overhead shot of two bowls filled with granola and some protien granola balls on the side served on a blue plate.

One of my favourite ways to approach cooking is to take a single ingredient I love and challenge myself to find new and delicious ways to incorporate it into meals.

When we're talking breakfast ideas, granola is a wonderfully versatile base ingredient because the natural flavours work so well with so many different dishes.

So let's get inspired with five delicious ways to enjoy granola!

    Granola smoothie

Blitz almond milk, banana, perhaps a pinch of mixed spice and a handful of granola, then enjoy for breakfast poured over plenty of ice. Grab the recipe for granola smoothie here.

    Breakfast bran granola muffin

Whip up your favourite bran muffin batter, then make them even more delicious by stirring in a generous handful of granola before baking. Grab the recipe for granola muffins here.

    Date granola energy balls

These balls are made from pitted dates blitzed with granola, then rolled into balls. Perfect for little shots of energy on the go. Grab the recipe for granola date balls here.

    Apple and cherry granola crumble

Why settle for an ordinary crumble when you can have an extra delicious granola topped crumble? Just whip up your favourite recipe (this one is apple and cherry), making sure to add a good handful of granola into both the fruit filling and the crumble topping before baking. Grab the recipe for granola crumble here.

Yogurt granola with honey and dried fruit

Sometimes the classics are the best and yogurt and granola is a match made in heaven. Fill a bowl with your favourite natural yogurt, then top generously with dried fruits, a handful of granola and a drizzle of honey - divine!

    How do you enjoy granola?

Which of the above ideas most takes your fancy? And do you have any great ways to add? I'd love to hear about any breakfasts or snack that you love enhancing with a little granola!
