This simple, easy, delicious cinnamon french toast works perfectly with warm peaches. It can be whipped up in under 15 minutes and counts as one of your five a day.

Cinnamon French toast with warm peaches, made with Princes peach slices with juice

It's sweet, warming and great for kids and adults alike on a chilly school run morning. And with simple ingredients, it's a great fit parents with busy lives who want to fit in something delicious, simple and nourishing.

For this recipe, I've used Princes Peach Slices with Juice. They're packed from fresh so they taste great, and of course, there's no need for peeling, chopping or pitting since Princes canned fruit comes ready prepared.

And Princes Peach Slices with Juice aren't only great when you're in a hurry. They're economical and help reduce waste, too, because they stay fresh until you need them. That means no danger of them going off before you have a chance to cook with them, and you can always have a supply of juicy fruit on hand, even if the fruit bowl is a little bare.

Here's how to make this speedy Cinnamon French toast with Warm Peaches - perfect for when you just need more hours in the day!

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 medium free range egg
  • 200ml (6.75 floz) whole milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 slices of thick wholemeal bread, cut into triangles
  • 2 tins (2 x 410g, or 1.75 lb) Princes Peach Slices with Juice, drained
  • 8 tbsp plain yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp honey

I have such a fondness for tinned peaches! I grew up on the things, having never seen a fresh one until I moved out from home! This time of year in Shetland we stock up on tinned fruit as the gales cause travel disruptions and the shops sell out of fresh produce quite quickly. Love your recipe!
