Spooky Halloween pizza

A fun, spooky Halloween pizza - perfect for Halloween parties!

For the dough:

  • 80 g ’00’ grade flour
  • 1/4 tsp fast action yeast
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp sunflower oil
  • 1 1/4 tsp milk
  • 40 ml warm water

For the topping:

  • 1 tsp garlic puree
  • 1 tbsp passata
  • 85 g grated mozzarella
  • 1/2 mixed herbs
  • 20 g drained black olives
  • 1/4 red pepper
  • 1/4 green pepper


  • Mix the dry ingredients together, make a well
  • Whisk the wet ingredients together then pour the wet into the dry and mix together to make a dough, knead until smooth then leave to prove in the bowl somewhere dark, covered with a tea towel for 2 hours
  • Take it out, knock it back (i.e. bash it a bit with your fist), divide into two s knead back into a smooth ball and leave to rise for a further hour
  • Roll out the dough to around 8 inches inches in diameter – it will roll quite thin and still keep its shape – then transfer to a baking sheet
  • Spread with the garlic puree, then passata
  • Sprinkle with the mozzarella and then the herbs
  • Finely chop the olives, green peppers and red peppers and use them to create your scary face – we used to strips of pepper for the eyebrows
  • Bake at 220C (425F/200C fan) for 10-15 minutes until the cheese bubbles
